Which ever way you choose to get here, get here in time for the action! From Europe's Largest Road Trip, to Return Coach Travel, to Airport Transfers - we've got it all, so get some tasty tunes ready for the ride...

Road Trip

And they're 'hof! Snowbombing still holds the title of hosting Europe's largest festival Road Trip, consisting of 150+ cars through 5 countries all heading in convoy to one common destination - Mayrhofen! And the theme this year? Roll up, roll up, rollup, for Hans Von Hofen's Freakadelic Circus! Dig out your leotards, ready your wagons and prepare to join our freaky, fabulous troupe on the journey of a lifetime...

Gather your A team, hop in the wagon and start tooting that horn like mad - it's the Snowbombing Road Trip! Come with us on our journey into the wild this April, when our mad-cap, gas guzzling, high octane mission to the mountains will begin, bigger, beefier and more exciting than ever!

The Snowbombing Road Trip is not a race or a rally; it’s more a leisurely European adventure all the way to the 'hof… As any agony aunt will tell you, 'it’s not about the winning, it’s the taking part that counts!’... So think camaraderie rather than competition, we enjoyed the view out of all the windows, not just the front one... After all, you know what they say, 'half the fun is getting there!'

What Is It?

There’s something magical about joining a convoy of 150 cars on a 2 day dash across Europe. Friends are made in garage forecourts, parties pop-up in hotspot European hotels, many bags of paprika crisps are shared and the whole team unite on the ultimate goal… To make it to Mayrhofen and kick-start the week in style.

When booking, you will have the option to extend your stay by selecting to arrive Saturday 1st April, Sunday 2nd April and the option to check out on Sunday 9th April.

How can I book?

Booking is easy! Simply click here. If you would like first hand, expert Snowbombing advice & knowledge, feel free to contact our customer service team who can guide you through the process, or offer recommendations.  Available Monday – Friday, 09:00 – 17:30, on 0333 240 5815, email customerservice@snowbombing.com or Live Chat us via the website.

How much is the deposit and when will the remaining balance be due?

At the time of booking, all that’s needed is a deposit of £130 + £20 booking fee per person to secure your booking. The full balance is due on 8 weeks before the festival on Friday 3rd February 2017. For late bookers, deposit options will not apply after the balance due date stated above and the full payment will be due at the time of booking.

Can I book a day ticket?

Unfortunately, day tickets are not available. Due to capacity constraints, we can only sell full Snowbombing week wristbands for a minimum of 5 nights, which are complimentary when buying accommodation and are not sold separately.

Can I just purchase a Snowbombing wristband?

Snowbombing wristbands are only available to those who book an accommodation through the official Snowbombing website.  We normally sell a limited number of wristband only tickets as we approach the event, but there are no guarantees that this will happen.  To avoid disappointment we strongly recommend booking an accommodation with us!

What do I get with a VIP wristband?

Your VIP ticket will grant you fast track access to The Racket Club, Street Party and Forest Party, and VIPs will get first access on high demand tickets such as The Arctic Disco. You’ll also be privy to even more bonuses  - a free welcome drink, free lanyard programme, 10% off all Snowbombing merchandise and the chance to win a meet and greet competition with a Snowbombing artist!  There are a very limited number of VIP upgrades available for £100 (that’s only £20 per day) -grab yourself one in the booking process!

Which venues do I get access to with my Snowbombing wristband?

Your wristband gets you into all Snowbombing venues, parties and events, except for the Arctic Disco, which is sold as a separate ticket. In order to attend this event you will need to book online and add as an optional extra from your customer account. Please note: Tickets for the Arctic disco goes on sale in January 2017 - for the most up to date information follow us on social media and sign up to the newsletter.

How do the ski/board lessons work?

Pre-purchased lessons will be listed on your QR e-ticket, which will be scanned on arrival in exchange for a voucher for Ski School. Your first lesson is ALWAYS the day after arrival. Please meet outside the Hotel Strass next to the Penken suited & booted & with your lift pass, at 0915hrs. Following your first lesson, your instructor will tell you when and where to meet for your following lessons

Can I hire equipment in resort?

Yes, you can pre book your equipment hire at the time of booking or at a later stage via your customer account. Pre booking this is highly recommended, as we wouldn’t want you to get to resort and your options to be limited. On that note, hire shops generally don’t do boot hire above a size 10, any shops that do have limited stock, so if you wear any size higher than this its recommended to take your own boots along with you to avoid disappointment.

I live / work in Mayrhofen. Is there an opportunity for local residents and seasonnaires to purchase Snowbombing wristbands?

Yes. Wristbands for local residents will be available from the Mayrhofen tourist office based in the Europahaus. Snowbombing wristbands for local residents can only be purchased in person with the correct identification and eligibility will be strictly checked, so you will need to take with photo ID and proof of address / copy of your employment contract with you.

Is there a minimum age required to attend Snowbombing?

Yes, you must be at least 18 years of age to book and attend Snowbombing. Snowbombing security staff will ask for proof of age ID and anyone less than 18 years of age will be declined entry to any of Snowbombing’s licensed venues.

Road Trip

The Road Trip consists of 500+ Snowbombers in 150+ cars on a cross country adventure from Kent to Mayrhofen, often alongside a whole host of Snowbombing artists and celebrities. You will have an overnight pit stop en route, with DJs and entertainment, as well as the famous welcome procession driving down the main street in Mayrhofen kicking the festival off in style.  Costing £299 per vehicle of 5 occupants (only one person needs to add this to their booking).

Car Parking

The streets are limited on car parking places throughout the resort. There is one dedicated car park that we recommend for those on the Road Trip and some of the larger hotels also offer parking, but this may be limited and at a cost, so please check with your hotel first.

We don’t sell flights. However, by signing up to our newsletter you will get the latest information sent right to your inbox, via our ‘flights of the week’ mailer.

There is a train station just outside the centre of the resort that services indirect trains from Munich and Innsbruck airport. These can be viewed here.

When will I find out which apartment I am staying in?

7 days before the festival all customers will have received e-tickets, which will include name, full address and contact details along with some essential information on your accommodation. All documentation will be emailed to you and will need printing before you travel. If you have booked your named central apartment, you will already know most of the information, but will be sent the finer details 7 days before.

What is an Austrian Twin bed?

This is one of the MOST common questions we are asked on check-in day! All rooms that are supplied in Austrian hotels and apartments have Austrian twin beds. These are beds that have two single mattresses with two single duvets on a double base which cannot be split. When you first look at them they appear to be double beds, so please don’t be alarmed by the closeness you have to your fellow room-mate... After all we’re all grown adults.

Where are apartments located?

We have 3 different types of apartments; remember In Town apartments are in high demand so book early! When you book your accommodation you can view a map with the location boundaries.

Apartments In Town

Located in “Mayrhofen centre”, comprising of all accommodation within the town’s boundary.

Apartments Downtown

Located in ‘downtown Mayrhofen' comprising of all villages just outside of the central town including Eckartau, Laubichl, Hollenzen and Burgstall to the North and Hochstegen to the south.

Apartments Out of Town

Located on the out-skirts of Mayrhofen in the beautiful valleys, including Hippach, Ramsau and Schwendau, and are only about 3 to 5KM away. With Mayrhofen ski buses running regularly throughout the day and night, you can be easily taken from piste to party to pillow and back again!

I’ve booked a pension - how is this different from a hotel?

When we think pension, we think Airbnb Austrian style! Pension accommodations would be most similar to a UK style B&B. They may come with less facilities than some of the hotels on offer but what they lack in that department they make up for charm and that personal touch from the landlords who you will normally find on hand living next door.

I’m booking for a large group, what options do we have?

Want a free trip to SB17? Gather your gang and get booking – for every 11 bookings in a group, the 11th place goes free! If you have been put in charge of organising your group trip to Snowbombing then the first thing you need to do is get yourself set up as one of our Snowbombing Ambassadors. By becoming an SB Ambassador, you will get a personalised group page where your friends can make their bookings. To manage your group booking, click here.

Please note: The 11th place will need to be paid in full and will be refunded up to 30 days after the event.

I’m coming alone, what are the Solobomber options?

This fantastic option is a huge hit with the Solo travellers. These rooms are designed for the nomads of the Snowbombing land who want to travel the world (or Mayrhofen) solo and make many a pal along the way! Have no fear if your mates are making lame excuses not to book up - we have shared dorm rooms, offering excellent value for money and the opportunity to meet like-minded independent travellers. Alternatively, there are a number of single rooms available in a variety of hotels.

Payment and Cashless

How can I pay?

The easiest way to pay is by logging into your customer account, where you have access to manage and pay your own part of the booking. Alternatively, have your booking reference at the ready and simply call 0333 240 5815 within our opening hours Monday – Friday 09:00 – 17:30.

Please note when taking payment over the phone, we must have the cardholder present to authorise payment.

What if I don't want to pay in GBP?

This year Snowbombing have partnered with Festicket to offer a variety of accommodation packages for international customers. Book in EUR, USD and CAD, in addition to GBP. Booking available in French and German. Click here for more information.

What is Snowbombing Cashless?

In 2015 we introduced RFID technology to Snowbombing. This exciting new technology is full of lots of great benefits: Minimal waiting times at bars, no fumbling with change/tokens, no trips to the ATM at night, or carrying around large amounts of cash and an enhanced overall experience!

How does it work?

Simply ‘Tap’ your wristband to the scanner to complete your payment!

Do I have to use Cashless?

Snowbombing bars with the exception of a few are all cashless only, so if you want a drink, you need to top up.

Where can Cashless payments be made?

The Racket Club, The Berghof Garden, The Street Party, The Forest Stage, The Bruck’n Stadl, The Arena and the official SB merchandise stands.

Where can't Cashless payments be made?

The Ice Bar, The Sports Bar, Mo’s Bar, and all the restaurants and mountain venues, including the Arctic Disco.

Please note you will still need a small amount or Euros for food and the local smaller bars, but you won’t need nearly as many.

How much spending money should I bring / budget to spend?

This really depends how frivolous your spending is, how expensive your taste is, and how much you plan on drinking, but we would say a nice mid-ground benchmark would be budgeting 70 Euros a day, but we’ve seen Snowbombers do it on a lot less, and a lot more.  Average drinks prices are €6, similar to any European ski resort, with a choice of supermarket, cafes, and steak houses of differing price ranges. The main Snowbombing venues will all use the Snowbombing Cashless system so we recommend taking half your money in euros and topping up the other half onto your wristband. Don’t worry, if you haven’t got enough on your band you can top up in euros and sterling in resort at any top up point.

How do I top up my wristband?

You will be sent information before the festival on how to activate your Cashless account. Once you have done this, we recommend topping up before you land in Austria. As well as being a great way to save up your spends, topping up before the festival comes with some great incentives such as free drinks, cashback and entry into competitions. As well as the online Top Up service, we provide plenty of Top Up points around resort for you to keep your wristband loaded - you can top up in Sterling or Euros, in cash or on card.

Alternatively, if you don’t fancy constantly having to go back to a top up point, why not enable the Auto Top Up feature on your account? Once your account drops below a set amount you will automatically get a top up of a certain amount of Euros.

No more fumbling for change, just pre-load money onto your account and you’re set for the duration of the event!

The Town

What’s the resort of Mayrhofen like?

The village is traditional, with a lovely alpine feel ... You won’t see any concrete 70’s blocks here, and it all sits tightly inside a huge valley. Everything is a stone’s throw away – the ski lifts, bars, nightclubs and restaurants. The local residents are lovely, and incredibly enthusiastic about Snowbombing too!

The accommodation is great, whatever your budget - whether you book an alpine apartment or a four star hotel, the standards will always better your expectations. Families own the hotels, and they take pride in making them look the best that they can for you. You’ll get a nice breakfast included in all hotels and 2 star B&B accommodations!

Apartments are very spacious, with catering equipment and kitchen area, plus lounge area, and bedrooms. Have a look at the accommodation page on the website, or ask anyone who went last year on Facebook, you’ll be impressed.

How reliable is the snow?

Mayrhofen sits at 630m, which granted is quite low in the mountains, but the ski lifts take you up to 1800m in 12 minutes where you will find more snow than you can shake a stick at. A great bonus of going to Mayrhofen for Snowbombing is that it’s nice and warm and the spring rays mean you can go boarding or skiing in your t-shirt, and hang out on the terraces for food and drink in the sunshine! Of course, no resort in the world can ever guarantee perfect snow, but Mayrhofen does a pretty good job, with the Tux Glacier within easy reach (with snow 365 days a year), and an army of snow cannons.  For more information on the snow in Mayrhofen, visit the Snow Page.

Is it suitable for beginners, intermediates and advanced skiers/boarders?

Mayrhofen has slopes to cater for skiers and boarders of all abilities. For info on the Piste, please go to the Snow Page of the website. Whether it’s your first time on the mountain or your 100th, make the most of it and book lessons, ranging from beginner to private and advanced lessons, all of which can be added on via your customer account.

What if I can’t ski or snowboard?

Don’t worry; plenty of Snowbombers have never been to the mountains before! If you want to ski/board we provide tuition ranging from 3, 4, or 5x2hr sessions for both skiing and snowboarding.

How can I get around the Zillertal Valley?

There is a ski bus that tours all of the surrounding areas of Mayrhofen (including Hippach & Ramsau) that runs every 30 minutes during the day, up until 5.30pm. When this bus stops, there is a night bus running the same route every 30 minutes. This will run until the early hours of the morning, meaning you will be able to get back to your accommodation with ease when leaving the late night music venues.

Where are good places to eat/drink?

With 40+ restaurants and 20+ bars, you will never be short of options for refueling (and that's not including the facilities on the mountain!) The great thing about Mayrhofen is that you will not find any of the extortionate drinks prices so common to many other European resorts. Food is also reasonably priced so you shouldn't find yourself burning through as much cash during the day as most ski holidays. Of course there’s also every Snowbomber’s best friend: Hans the Butcher the best meat takeaway in town - opposite the Penken lift station.

The Festival

What makes Snowbombing the world’s greatest show on snow?!

Snowbombing is like no other event you’ve been to! The music and surroundings are breath taking and there’s a great vibe created by spending a week partying and sharing the slopes with everyone. Ask the Snowbombers on Facebook for more personal anecdotes and to find out what you can expect!

How about the Arctic Disco?

Sub-Zero sub-bass at 6000ft… The Arctic Disco is, literally, the coolest party on the planet! Dancing about inside a real igloo to the likes of Fatboy Slim, Skrillex, Rudimental & Carl Cox and sipping hot gluhwein under the stars… It’s like a party on the moon. But much much more fun… Tickets for these sell-out nights go on sale in the New Year. Sign up to the newsletter and follow us on social media for sale dates. Upon release, you can add them via your customer account. Please note: In order to confirm your tickets, they must be paid in full upfront.

When can I see the line-up schedule?

We like to add a bit of excitement by adding new artists to the line-up as we get closer to the event. We have not yet announced any acts for Snowbombing 2017, but watch this space. You can expect to see the majority of the schedule finished by Christmas.

Are the parties on the mountain or in the village?

We have on-Piste entertainment at the Penken Park as part of the pro rider sessions called Ride and Seek, the Pilz bar stage at the top of the Penken lift station also has DJ’s playing throughout the day. As optional extras, we also provide tickets to the Arctic Disco - an igloo at the top of the Ahorn Mountain hosting raves with previous artists including Skrillex, Seth Troxler, Eats Everything, James Zabiela & Fatboy Slim! The main artist performances take place at ground level in the village of Mayrhofen, across various venues. For more details please go the venues page.

If you’ve never been to a snow resort before, here’s a little rundown on what you need to bring…

• Waterproofs – ski pants and jacket are the best.

• Layers – these will keep you warmer than one big jacket.

• Sun cream – the climate is very deceiving… It’s easy to get burnt, even if you think there isn’t much sun; the altitude makes you more susceptible to the UV. Make sure you bring plenty of decent sun cream (not bronzing oil!), and some high factor stuff for your lips.

• Sunglasses/ Goggles – same as above – make sure they are decent and they actually protect you from the sun. Wearing them on your head does look quite cool but won't really help!

• Footwear – Bring a decent pair of boots. Essential if you’re participating in the Arctic Disco.

• Board/Ski – These are available to hire in the resort, or you can bring your own, there's plenty of space on the transfer buses and it's no extra charge.

And if you’ve never been on a Snowbombing holiday, then here’s what to bring:

• Glad rags – Bring plenty of going out clothes for the week, both for cold weather and warm weather... It can get pretty sweaty in those clubs!

• Fancy Dress – Keep your eyes peeled for the 2017 fancy dress themes!

• Towel and Swimwear – so you can make good use of all the fantastic swimming pools and well-being facilities – not to mention the Snowbombing pool party!
